Meditation helps you sleep better, think more clearly, relate more openly, work more effectively, and feel more at ease. It supports your immune system, reduces inflammation and stress, and creates the conditions for healing; physically, mentally, and emotionally. Meditation also strengthens your ability to focus, stay centred, connect to a sense of deeper purpose, inner guidance, and find calm amidst the chaos of modern life.
Despite what you may have heard, meditation doesn’t need to be complicated or mystical - it’s often much easier than people expect. If you’ve tried meditating but found it difficult, you may simply not have received the right guidance. With just three private sessions, you can usually learn enough to practice confidently on your own. Ongoing coaching can deepen your experience, but ultimately, your real teacher is the practice itself.
Your breath is the only function in your body that is both involuntary and under your conscious control. This unique duality makes it a powerful bridge between the autonomic (unconscious) and cognitive (conscious) nervous systems. Unlike other automatic processes, breathing can be intentionally shaped; you can slow it down, deepen it, hold it, or speed it up at will.
Through breathwork, you can lower your heart rate and blood pressure, reduce stress hormones like cortisol, stimulate the vagus nerve, and activate the parasympathetic ("rest and digest") response. It also supports lymphatic flow, balances blood pH, improves oxygenation and circulation, and helps release stored muscular and emotional tension.
Beyond the physical, breathwork can create a gateway between your conscious and unconscious mind. It can help you break free from dysfunctional patterns (whether learned or inherited), build healthier habits, strengthen self-esteem, and safely access and reframe painful memories so they no longer hold power over you. Over time, breathwork can support the integration of your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual self.
Yes, anyone can learn breathwork. There are many techniques, ranging from gentle and calming to powerful and energising, even techniques that help you access safe, altered states of consciousness. Depending on your intention and life circumstances, you might find that a daily practice of gentle breathwork suits you best, creating slow and steady transformation. Or you may feel called to explore deeper, more immersive sessions designed to create breakthroughs in specific areas of your life. Breathwork is easy to learn, and like meditation, ongoing coaching and support can help deepen your experience. But ultimately, your breath is your most reliable and wise teacher.
Adrian has been practicing meditation and breathwork since the age of 16. He first discovered their power, when a few simple breathing and mind-stilling techniques helped him manage, and ultimately overcome, asthma. After moving to Australia, he trained in hatha yoga and various forms of pranayama (breath control), developing a committed daily personal practice.
In his twenties, Adrian encountered a modality known as conscious connected breathwork (also called rebirthing breathwork). Inspired by the profound healing and transformation it offered, he trained intensively for two years under the mentorship of some of Australia’s leading breathwork pioneers, including Denise Burgess and Michael Adamedes. At the time, he was also building a creative and technology business, and credits breathwork and meditation with helping him calm a busy mind and cultivate the clarity and resilience needed to thrive as a young entrepreneur.
Adrian has twice completed the renowned 10-day silent Vipassana meditation retreat and integrated its insights into his daily routine for several years. He has also trained in mantra-based Vedic meditation (commonly known as Transcendental Meditation), Qigong, and many other types of meditation and breathwork.
Today, Adrian teaches a simple yet powerful form of meditation built around a four-step learning pathway that is accessible and easy to follow. He is also a qualified shamanic practitioner, skilled in bridging alchemical, archetypal, dream, and unconscious realms, and in supporting people to integrate these experiences into everyday life. He is the founder of the Australian Shamanic Network and has facilitated numerous workshops, retreats, and hundreds of one-on-one sessions. Through this work, he helps people connect with their breath, access deep meditative states, release inner blocks, and bring greater calm, clarity, and self-awareness into their lives.
Now based in Sydney, Adrian runs a technology and creative business, coaches individuals and groups in meditation and breathwork, and offers personal consultations to support growth, integration, and healing.
